Al-Aadiyaat

WaalAAadiyati dabhan

Wa Al-`Ādiyāti Đabĥāan

By the snorting chargers

Faalmooriyati qadhan

Fālmūriyāti Qadĥāan

by the strikers of sparks [with their hoofs]

Faalmugheerati subhan

Fālmughīrāti Şubĥāan

by the raiders at dawn

Faatharna bihi naqAAan

Fa'atharna Bihi Naq`āan

raising therein a trail of dust

Fawasatna bihi jamAAan

Fawasaţna Bihi Jam`āan

and cleaving therein a host

Inna alinsana lirabbihi lakanoodun

Inna Al-'Insāna Lirabbihi Lakanūdun

Indeed man is ungrateful to his Lord

Wainnahu AAala thalika lashaheedun

Wa 'Innahu `Alá Dhālika Lashahīdun

and indeed he is [himself] witness to that

Wainnahu lihubbi alkhayri lashadeedun

Wa 'Innahu Liĥubbi Al-Khayri Lashadīdun

And indeed he is an avid lover of wealth

Afala yaAAlamu itha buAAthira ma fee alquboori

Afalā Ya`lamu 'Idhā Bu`thira Mā Fī Al-Qubūri

Does he not know, when what is [buried] in the graves is turned over

Wahussila ma fee alssudoori

Wa Ĥuşşila Mā Fī Aş-Şudūri

and what is [concealed] in the breasts is divulged

Inna rabbahum bihim yawmaithin lakhabeerun

Inna Rabbahum Bihim Yawma'idhin Lakhabīrun

on that day their Lord will be well informed about them [and their deeds]
