24

Ayah 24

[with the result] that they will bear the full weight of their own burden on the Day of Resurrection, along with part of the burden of those whom they mislead without any knowledge. Behold! Evil is what they bear

26

Ayah 26

Thumma Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Yukhzīhim Wa Yaqūlu 'Ayna Shurakā'iya Al-Ladhīna Kuntum Tushāqqūna Fīhim Qāla Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-`Ilma 'Inna Al-Khizya Al-Yawma Wa As-Sū'a `Alá Al-Kāfirīna

Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will disgrace them, and say, ‘Where are My “partners” for whose sake you used to defy [Allah]?’ Those who were given knowledge will say, ‘Indeed today disgrace and distress pursue the faithless.’

Faodkhuloo abwaba jahannama khalideena feeha falabisa mathwa almutakabbireena

Fādkhulū 'Abwāba Jahannama Khālidīna Fīhā Falabi'sa Mathwá Al-Mutakabbirīna

Enter the gates of hell to remain in it [forever]. Evil is the [final] abode of the arrogant.’

30

Ayah 30

Waqeela lillatheena ittaqaw matha anzala rabbukum qaloo khayran lillatheena ahsanoo fee hathihi alddunya hasanatun waladaru alakhirati khayrun walaniAAma daru almuttaqeena

But those who were Godwary will be asked, ‘What is it that your Lord has sent down?’ They will say, ‘Good.’ For those who do good in this world there will be a good [reward], and the abode of the Hereafter is better, and the abode of the Godwary is surely excellent

31

Ayah 31

Jannatu AAadnin yadkhuloonaha tajree min tahtiha alanharu lahum feeha ma yashaoona kathalika yajzee Allahu almuttaqeena

the Gardens of Eden, which they will enter, with streams running in them. There they will have whatever they wish, and thus does Allah reward the Godwary

32

Ayah 32

Allatheena tatawaffahumu almalaikatu tayyibeena yaqooloona salamun AAalaykumu odkhuloo aljannata bima kuntum taAAmaloona

—those whom the angels take away while they are pure. They say [to them], ‘Peace be to you! Enter paradise because of what you used to do.’

33

Ayah 33

Hal Yanžurūna 'Illā 'An Ta'tiyahumu Al-Malā'ikatu 'Aw Ya'tiya 'Amru Rabbika Kadhālika Fa`ala Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Wa Mā Žalamahumu Allāhu Wa Lakin Kānū 'Anfusahum Yažlimūna

Do they not consider that the angels may come to them, or your Lord’s edict may come? Those who were before them had acted likewise; Allah did not wrong them, but they used to wrong themselves

34

Ayah 34

Faasabahum sayyiatu ma AAamiloo wahaqa bihim ma kanoo bihi yastahzioona

Fa'aşābahum Sayyi'ātu Mā `Amilū Wa Ĥāqa Bihim Mā Kānū Bihi Yastahzi'ūn

So the evils of what they had earned visited them, and they were besieged by what they used to deride

35

Ayah 35

Waqala allatheena ashrakoo law shaa Allahu ma AAabadna min doonihi min shayin nahnu wala abaona wala harramna min doonihi min shayin kathalika faAAala allatheena min qablihim fahal AAala alrrusuli illa albalaghu almubeenu

Wa Qāla Al-Ladhīna 'Ashrakū Law Shā'a Allāhu Mā `Abadnā Min Dūnihi Min Shay'in Naĥnu Wa Lā 'Ābā'uunā Wa Lā Ĥarramnā Min Dūnihi Min Shay'in Kadhālika Fa`ala Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Fahal `Alá Ar-Rusuli 'Illā Al-Balāghu Al-Mubīnu

The polytheists say, ‘Had Allah wished, we would not have worshiped anything besides Him—neither we, nor our fathers—nor we would have forbidden anything without His sanction.’ Those who were before them had acted likewise. Is the apostles’ duty anything but to communicate in clear terms

36

Ayah 36

Walaqad baAAathna fee kulli ommatin rasoolan ani oAAbudoo Allaha waijtaniboo alttaghoota faminhum man hada Allahu waminhum man haqqat AAalayhi alddalalatu faseeroo fee alardi faonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu almukaththibeena

Certainly We raised an apostle in every nation [to preach:] ‘Worship Allah, and shun fake deities.’ Among them were some whom Allah guided, and among them were some who deserved to be in error. So travel over the land and observe how was the fate of the deniers

37

Ayah 37

In tahris AAala hudahum fainna Allaha la yahdee man yudillu wama lahum min nasireena

In Taĥriş `Alá Hudāhum Fa'inna Allāha Lā Yahdī Man Yuđillu Wa Mā Lahum Min Nāşirīna

Even if you are eager for them to be guided, indeed Allah does not guide those who mislead [others], and they will have no helpers

Liyubayyina lahumu allathee yakhtalifoona feehi waliyaAAlama allatheena kafaroo annahum kanoo kathibeena

Liyubayyina Lahumu Al-Ladhī Yakhtalifūna Fīhi Wa Liya`lama Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'Annahum Kānū Kādhibīna

Wa Al-Ladhīna Hājarū Fī Allāhi Min Ba`di Mā Žulimū Lanubawwi'annahum Fī Ad-Dunyā Ĥasanatan Wa La'ajru Al-'Ākhirati 'Akbaru Law Kānū Ya`lamūna

Those who migrate for the sake of Allah after they have been wronged, We will surely settle them in a good place in the world, and the reward of the Hereafter is surely greater, had they known

42

Ayah 42

Allatheena sabaroo waAAala rabbihim yatawakkaloona

Al-Ladhīna Şabarū Wa `Alá Rabbihim Yatawakkalūna

46

Ayah 46

Aw yakhuthahum fee taqallubihim fama hum bimuAAjizeena

Yakhāfūna Rabbahum Min Fawqihim Wa Yaf`alūna Mā Yu'umarūna

They fear their Lord above them, and do what they are commanded

51

Ayah 51

Waqala Allahu la tattakhithoo ilahayni ithnayni innama huwa ilahun wahidun faiyyaya fairhabooni
