بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Ayah 2
Ghulibati alrroomu
Ghulibati Ar-Rūmu
The Romans have been defeated in a nearby land and after this defeat
Ayah 3
Fee adna alardi wahum min baAAdi ghalabihim sayaghliboona
Fī 'Adná Al-'Arđi Wa Hum Min Ba`di Ghalabihim Sayaghlibūna
(within a few years) they will be victorious
Ayah 4
Fee bidAAi sineena lillahi alamru min qablu wamin baAAdu wayawmaithin yafrahu almuminoona
Fī Biđ`i Sinīna Lillāhi Al-'Amru Min Qablu Wa Min Ba`du Wa Yawma'idhin Yafraĥu Al-Mu'uminūna
All matters of the past and future are in the hands of God. The believers will enjoy the help of God on that Day
Ayah 5
Binasri Allahi yansuru man yashao wahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
Binaşri Allāhi Yanşuru Man Yashā'u Wa Huwa Al-`Azīzu Ar-Raĥīmu
He helps whomever He wants. He is Majestic and All-merciful
Ayah 6
WaAAda Allahi la yukhlifu Allahu waAAdahu walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona
Wa`da Allāhi Lā Yukhlifu Allāhu Wa`dahu Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Ya`lamūna
This is the promise of God. God does not ignore His promise, but many people do not know
Ayah 7
YaAAlamoona thahiran mina alhayati alddunya wahum AAani alakhirati hum ghafiloona
Ya`lamūna Žāhirāan Mina Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Hum `Ani Al-'Ākhirati Hum Ghāfilūna
They only know the superficial realities of the worldly life and they are unaware of the life to come
Ayah 8
Awalam yatafakkaroo fee anfusihim ma khalaqa Allahu alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma illa bialhaqqi waajalin musamman wainna katheeran mina alnnasi biliqai rabbihim lakafiroona
Awalam Yatafakkarū Fī 'Anfusihim Mā Khalaqa Allāhu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Ajalin Musammáan Wa 'Inna Kathīrāan Mina An-Nāsi Biliqā'i Rabbihim Lakāfirūna
Have they not thought that God has not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them but for a genuine purpose to exist for an appointed term? Many people do not believe in their meeting with their Lord
Ayah 9
Awalam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihim kanoo ashadda minhum quwwatan waatharoo alarda waAAamarooha akthara mimma AAamarooha wajaathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kana Allahu liyathlimahum walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona
Awalam Yasīrū Fī Al-'Arđi Fayanžurū Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Kānū 'Ashadda Minhum Qūwatan Wa 'Athārū Al-'Arđa Wa `Amarūhā 'Akthara Mimmā `Amarūhā Wa Jā'at/hum Rusuluhum Bil-Bayyināti Famā Kāna Allāhu Liyažlimahum Wa Lakin Kānū 'Anfusahum Yažlimūna
Have they not travelled through the land to see how terrible was the end of the people who lived before them. The people who lived before them were stronger than them in might, in tilling, and in developing the earth. Our Messengers came to them with clear miracles. God did not do an injustice to them but they wronged themselves
Ayah 10
Thumma kana AAaqibata allatheena asaoo alssooa an kaththaboo biayati Allahi wakanoo biha yastahzioona
Thumma Kāna `Āqibata Al-Ladhīna 'Asā'ū As-Sū'á 'An Kadhabū Bi'āyāti Allāhi Wa Kānū Bihā Yastahzi'ūn
The end of the evil-doers was terrible, for they had rejected the revelations of God and mocked them
Ayah 11
Allahu yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu thumma ilayhi turjaAAoona
Allāhu Yabda'u Al-Khalqa Thumma Yu`īduhu Thumma 'Ilayhi Turja`ūna
God begins the creation then causes it to turn back and to Him you will all return
Ayah 12
Wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu yublisu almujrimoona
Wa Yawma Taqūmu As-Sā`atu Yublisu Al-Mujrimūna
On the day when the Hour of Doom comes, the criminals will despair
Ayah 13
Walam yakun lahum min shurakaihim shufaAAao wakanoo bishurakaihim kafireena
Wa Lam Yakun Lahum Min Shurakā'ihim Shufa`ā'u Wa Kānū Bishurakā'ihim Kāfirīna
None of the idols will intercede for them and they will reject their idols
Ayah 14
Wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu yawmaithin yatafarraqoona
Wa Yawma Taqūmu As-Sā`atu Yawma'idhin Yatafarraqūna
When that day comes, (people) will be separated from one another
Ayah 15
Faamma allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati fahum fee rawdatin yuhbaroona
Fa'ammā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Fahum Fī Rawđatin Yuĥbarūna
The righteously striving believers will happily live in paradise
Ayah 16
Waamma allatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biayatina waliqai alakhirati faolaika fee alAAathabi muhdaroona
Wa 'Ammā Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Wa Kadhabū Bi'āyātinā Wa Liqā'i Al-'Ākhirati Fa'ūlā'ika Fī Al-`Adhābi Muĥđarūna
However, the disbelievers, who called Our revelations and the Day of Judgment lies, will be brought into torment
Ayah 17
Fasubhana Allahi heena tumsoona waheena tusbihoona
Fasubĥāna Allāhi Ĥīna Tumsūna Wa Ĥīna Tuşbiĥūna
Glory belongs to God all the time, in the evening and in the morning
Ayah 18
Walahu alhamdu fee alssamawati waalardi waAAashiyyan waheena tuthhiroona
Wa Lahu Al-Ĥamdu Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa `Ashīyāan Wa Ĥīna Tužhirūna
To Him belongs all the thanks giving which takes place in the heavens and the earth, in the evenings and the noontime
Ayah 19
Yukhriju alhayya mina almayyiti wayukhriju almayyita mina alhayyi wayuhyee alarda baAAda mawtiha wakathalika tukhrajoona
Yukhriju Al-Ĥayya Mina Al-Mayyiti Wa Yukhriju Al-Mayyita Mina Al-Ĥayyi Wa Yuĥyī Al-'Arđa Ba`da Mawtihā Wa Kadhalika Tukhrajūna
He brings forth the living from the dead, takes out the dead from the living, and revives the earth from its death. Thus, you will all be brought back to life again
Ayah 20
Wamin ayatihi an khalaqakum min turabin thumma itha antum basharun tantashiroona
Wa Min 'Āyātihi 'An Khalaqakum Min Turābin Thumma 'Idhā 'Antum Basharun Tantashirūna
Some evidence of His existence are His creating you from clay and from that you became human beings scattered all around
Ayah 21
Wamin ayatihi an khalaqa lakum min anfusikum azwajan litaskunoo ilayha wajaAAala baynakum mawaddatan warahmatan inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yatafakkaroona
Wa Min 'Āyātihi 'An Khalaqa Lakum Min 'Anfusikum 'Azwājāan Litaskunū 'Ilayhā Wa Ja`ala Baynakum Mawaddatan Wa Raĥmatan 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yatafakkarūna
His creating spouses for you out of yourselves so that you might take comfort in them and His creating love and mercy among you. In this there is evidence (of the truth) for the people who (carefully) think
Ayah 22
Wamin ayatihi khalqu alssamawati waalardi waikhtilafu alsinatikum waalwanikum inna fee thalika laayatin lilAAalimeena
Wa Min 'Āyātihi Khalqu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Akhtilāfu 'Alsinatikum Wa 'Alwānikum 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Lil`ālimīna
Other evidence of His existence are the creation of the heavens and the earth and the differences of languages and colors. In this there is evidence (of the truth) for the worlds (mankind)
Ayah 23
Wamin ayatihi manamukum biallayli waalnnahari waibtighaokum min fadlihi inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yasmaAAoona
Wa Min 'Āyātihi Manāmukum Bil-Layli Wa An-Nahāri Wa Abtighā'uukum Min Fađlihi 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yasma`ūna
Your sleeping during the night and in the day your seeking His favors are evidence (of the truth) for the people who have hearing
Ayah 24
Wamin ayatihi yureekumu albarqa khawfan watamaAAan wayunazzilu mina alssamai maan fayuhyee bihi alarda baAAda mawtiha inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yaAAqiloona
Wa Min 'Āyātihi Yurīkumu Al-Barqa Khawfāan Wa Ţama`āan Wa Yunazzilu Mina As-Samā'i Mā'an Fayuĥyī Bihi Al-'Arđa Ba`da Mawtihā 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Ya`qilūna
Also, of the evidence of His existence are His showing you lightening which gives you fear and hope and His sending water down from the sky which revives the earth after its death. In this there is evidence (of the truth) for the people of understanding
Ayah 25
Wamin ayatihi an taqooma alssamao waalardu biamrihi thumma itha daAAakum daAAwatan mina alardi itha antum takhrujoona
Wa Min 'Āyātihi 'An Taqūma As-Samā'u Wa Al-'Arđu Bi'amrihi Thumma 'Idhā Da`ākum Da`watan Mina Al-'Arđi 'Idhā 'Antum Takhrujūna
Some other evidence of His existence is that both the heavens and the earth stand firm at His command. When He will call you from the earth, you will start to come out
Ayah 26
Walahu man fee alssamawati waalardi kullun lahu qanitoona
Wa Lahu Man Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Kullun Lahu Qānitūna
Everyone in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him and is subservient to Him
Ayah 27
Wahuwa allathee yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu wahuwa ahwanu AAalayhi walahu almathalu alaAAla fee alssamawati waalardi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Yabda'u Al-Khalqa Thumma Yu`īduhu Wa Huwa 'Ahwanu `Alayhi Wa Lahu Al-Mathalu Al-'A`lá Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Huwa Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu
It is He who begins the creation, then, turns it back. For Him this is very easy. All the exalted attributes in the heavens and the earth belong to Him. He is the Majestic and All-wise
Ayah 28
Daraba lakum mathalan min anfusikum hal lakum mi mma malakat aymanukum min shurakaa fee ma razaqnakum faantum feehi sawaon takhafoonahum kakheefatikum anfusakum kathalika nufassilu alayati liqawmin yaAAqiloona
Đaraba Lakum Mathalāan Min 'Anfusikum Hal Lakum Min Mā Malakat 'Aymānukum Min Shurakā'a Fī Mā Razaqnākum Fa'antum Fīhi Sawā'un Takhāfūnahum Kakhīfatikum 'Anfusakum Kadhālika Nufaşşilu Al-'Āyāti Liqawmin Ya`qilūna
God has told you this parable about yourselves: Could your slaves share your wealth equally with you and could you fear them as you fear yourselves? Thus, do We clarify the evidence (of the truth) for the people of understanding
Ayah 29
Bali ittabaAAa allatheena thalamoo ahwaahum bighayri AAilmin faman yahdee man adalla Allahu wama lahum min nasireena
Bal Attaba`a Al-Ladhīna Žalamū 'Ahwā'ahum Bighayri `Ilmin Faman Yahdī Man 'Ađalla Allāhu Wa Mā Lahum Min Nāşirīna
In fact, the unjust have followed their desires without knowledge. Who will guide those whom God has caused to go astray? No one will be their helper
Ayah 30
Faaqim wajhaka lilddeeni haneefan fitrata Allahi allatee fatara alnnasa AAalayha la tabdeela likhalqi Allahi thalika alddeenu alqayyimu walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona
Fa'aqim Wajhaka Lilddīni Ĥanīfāan Fiţrata Allāhi Allatī Faţara An-Nāsa `Alayhā Lā Tabdīla Likhalqi Allāhi Dhālika Ad-Dīnu Al-Qayyimu Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Ya`lamūna
(Muhammad), be devoted to the upright religion. It is harmonious with the nature which God has designed for people. The design of God cannot be altered. Thus is the upright religion, but many people do not know
Ayah 31
Muneebeena ilayhi waittaqoohu waaqeemoo alssalata wala takoonoo mina almushrikeena
Munībīna 'Ilayhi Wa Attaqūhu Wa 'Aqīmū Aş-Şalāata Wa Lā Takūnū Mina Al-Mushrikīna
Turn in repentance to Him. Have fear of Him. Be steadfast in your prayer. Do not be like the pagans
Ayah 32
Mina allatheena farraqoo deenahum wakanoo shiyaAAan kullu hizbin bima ladayhim farihoona
Mina Al-Ladhīna Farraqū Dīnahum Wa Kānū Shiya`āan Kullu Ĥizbin Bimā Ladayhim Fariĥūna
who have divided themselves into various religious sects, each one happy with their own belief
Ayah 33
Waitha massa alnnasa durrun daAAaw rabbahum muneebeena ilayhi thumma itha athaqahum minhu rahmatan itha fareequn minhum birabbihim yushrikoona
Wa 'Idhā Massa An-Nāsa Đurrun Da`aw Rabbahum Munībīna 'Ilayhi Thumma 'Idhā 'Adhāqahum Minhu Raĥmatan 'Idhā Farīqun Minhum Birabbihim Yushrikūna
When people face hardship, they begin praying to their Lord and turn in repentance to Him. When they receive mercy from Him, a group of them begin to consider things equal to God
Ayah 34
Liyakfuroo bima ataynahum fatamattaAAoo fasawfa taAAlamoona
Liyakfurū Bimā 'Ātaynāhum Fatamatta`ū Fasawfa Ta`lamūna
because of their ingratitude for what We have given them. Let them enjoy themselves, but they will soon know (the consequences of their deeds)
Ayah 35
Am anzalna AAalayhim sultanan fahuwa yatakallamu bima kanoo bihi yushrikoona
Am 'Anzalnā `Alayhim Sulţānāan Fahuwa Yatakallamu Bimā Kānū Bihi Yushrikūna
Have We sent them any authority to speak in support of their idols
Ayah 36
Waitha athaqna alnnasa rahmatan farihoo biha wain tusibhum sayyiatun bima qaddamat aydeehim itha hum yaqnatoona
Wa 'Idhā 'Adhaqnā An-Nāsa Raĥmatan Fariĥū Bihā Wa 'In Tuşibhum Sayyi'atun Bimā Qaddamat 'Aydīhim 'Idhā Hum Yaqnaţūna
When people receive mercy, they are happy with it. However, when hardship befalls them because of their own deeds, they despair
Ayah 37
Awalam yaraw anna Allaha yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao wayaqdiru inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yuminoona
Awalam Yaraw 'Anna Allāha Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā'u Wa Yaqdiru 'Inna Fī Dhālika La'āyātin Liqawmin Yu'uminūna
Have they not seen how God increases the livelihood of whomever He wants and determines his share. In this there is evidence (of the truth) for the believing people
Ayah 38
Faati tha alqurba haqqahu waalmiskeena waibna alssabeeli thalika khayrun lillatheena yureedoona wajha Allahi waolaika humu almuflihoona
Fa'āti Dhā Al-Qurbá Ĥaqqahu Wa Al-Miskīna Wa Abna As-Sabīli Dhālika Khayrun Lilladhīna Yurīdūna Wajha Allāhi Wa 'Ūlā'ika Humu Al-Mufliĥūna
Give the relatives, the destitute, and the needy travellers their share (of charity). It is better for those who want to please God and they will have everlasting happiness
Ayah 39
Wama ataytum min riban liyarbuwa fee amwali alnnasi fala yarboo AAinda Allahi wama ataytum min zakatin tureedoona wajha Allahi faolaika humu almudAAifoona
Wa Mā 'Ātaytum Min Ribāan Liyarbuwā Fī 'Amwāli An-Nāsi Falā Yarbū `Inda Allāhi Wa Mā 'Ātaytum Min Zakāatin Turīdūna Wajha Allāhi Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Al-Muđ`ifūna
God will not allow to increase whatever illegal interest you try to receive in order to increase your wealth at the expense of people's property. Whatever amount of zakat you give to please God will be doubled (for you)
Ayah 40
Allahu allathee khalaqakum thumma razaqakum thumma yumeetukum thumma yuhyeekum hal min shurakaikum man yafAAalu min thalikum min shayin subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona
Allāhu Al-Ladhī Khalaqakum Thumma Razaqakum Thumma Yumītukum Thumma Yuĥyīkum Hal Min Shurakā'ikum Man Yaf`alu Min Dhālikum Min Shay'in Subĥānahu Wa Ta`ālá `Ammā Yushrikūna
It is God who has created you and given you sustenance. He will make you die and will bring you back to life. Can any of your idols do such things? God is too Exalted to be considered equal to anything else
Ayah 41
Thahara alfasadu fee albarri waalbahri bima kasabat aydee alnnasi liyutheeqahum baAAda allathee AAamiloo laAAallahum yarjiAAoona
Žahara Al-Fasādu Fī Al-Barri Wa Al-Baĥri Bimā Kasabat 'Aydī An-Nāsi Liyudhīqahum Ba`đa Al-Ladhī `Amilū La`allahum Yarji`ūna
Evil has spread over the land and the sea because of human deeds and through these God will cause some people to suffer so that perhaps they will return to Him
Ayah 42
Qul seeroo fee alardi faonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablu kana aktharuhum mushrikeena
Qul Sīrū Fī Al-'Arđi Fānžurū Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Ladhīna Min Qablu Kāna 'Aktharuhum Mushrikīna
(Muhammad), tell them, "Travel through the land to see how terrible was the end of those who lived before. Many of them were pagans
Ayah 43
Faaqim wajhaka lilddeeni alqayyimi min qabli an yatiya yawmun la maradda lahu mina Allahi yawmaithin yassaddaAAoona
Fa'aqim Wajhaka Lilddīni Al-Qayyimi Min Qabli 'An Ya'tiya Yawmun Lā Maradda Lahu Mina Allāhi Yawma'idhin Yaşşadda`ūna
Be devoted to the upright religion before the coming of the inevitable day when no one can escape from God and people will either be sent to Paradise or hell
Ayah 44
Man kafara faAAalayhi kufruhu waman AAamila salihan falianfusihim yamhadoona
Man Kafara Fa`alayhi Kufruhu Wa Man `Amila Şāliĥāan Fali'anfusihim Yamhadūna
Those who disbelieve do so against their own souls. Those who do good pave the way for their own benefit
Ayah 45
Liyajziya allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati min fadlihi innahu la yuhibbu alkafireena
Liyajziya Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Min Fađlihi 'Innahu Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Kāfirīna
God will reward the righteously striving believers through His favor. He does not love the unbelievers
Ayah 46
Wamin ayatihi an yursila alrriyaha mubashshiratin waliyutheeqakum min rahmatihi walitajriya alfulku biamrihi walitabtaghoo min fadlihi walaAAallakum tashkuroona
Wa Min 'Āyātihi 'An Yursila Ar-Riyāĥa Mubashirātin Wa Liyudhīqakum Min Raĥmatihi Wa Litajriya Al-Fulku Bi'amrihi Wa Litabtaghū Min Fađlihi Wa La`allakum Tashkurūna
Some evidence of His existence is His sending the glad-news-bearing winds so that He would let you to receive His mercy, cause the ships to sail by His command, and let you seek His favor so that perhaps you would give Him thanks
Ayah 47
Walaqad arsalna min qablika rusulan ila qawmihim fajaoohum bialbayyinati faintaqamna mina allatheena ajramoo wakana haqqan AAalayna nasru almumineena
Wa Laqad 'Arsalnā Min Qablika Rusulāan 'Ilá Qawmihim Fajā'ūhum Bil-Bayyināti Fāntaqamnā Mina Al-Ladhīna 'Ajramū Wa Kāna Ĥaqqāan `Alaynā Naşru Al-Mu'uminīna
(Muhammad), We had sent before you Our Messengers to their people. The Messengers showed them clear miracles and We took revenge on the criminals. It was necessary for Us to help the believers
Ayah 48
Allahu allathee yursilu alrriyaha fatutheeru sahaban fayabsutuhu fee alssamai kayfa yashao wayajAAaluhu kisafan fatara alwadqa yakhruju min khilalihi faitha asaba bihi man yashao min AAibadihi itha hum yastabshiroona
Allāhu Al-Ladhī Yursilu Ar-Riyāĥa Fatuthīru Saĥābāan Fayabsuţuhu Fī As-Samā'i Kayfa Yashā'u Wa Yaj`aluhu Kisafāan Fatará Al-Wadqa Yakhruju Min Khilālihi Fa'idhā 'Aşāba Bihi Man Yashā'u Min `Ibādihi 'Idhā Hum Yastabshirūna
It is God who sends the winds to raise the clouds. He spreads them in the sky as He wants, then He intensifies them, and then you can see the rain coming down from the cloud. When He sends it down upon whichever of His servants He wants, they rejoice
Ayah 49
Wain kanoo min qabli an yunazzala AAalayhim min qablihi lamubliseena
Wa 'In Kānū Min Qabli 'An Yunazzala `Alayhim Min Qablihi Lamublisīna
at the rainfall, though before that they had been in despair
Ayah 50
Faonthur ila athari rahmati Allahi kayfa yuhyee alarda baAAda mawtiha inna thalika lamuhyee almawta wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun
Fānžur 'Ilá 'Āthāri Raĥmati Allāhi Kayfa Yuĥyī Al-'Arđa Ba`da Mawtihā 'Inna Dhālika Lamuĥyī Al-Mawtá Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun
Look at the traces of the mercy of God, how He has revived the dead earth. God revives the dead; He has power over all things
Ayah 51
Walain arsalna reehan faraawhu musfarran lathalloo min baAAdihi yakfuroona
Wa La'in 'Arsalnā Rīĥāan Fara'awhu Muşfarrāan Lažallū Min Ba`dihi Yakfurūna
Even if We had sent the wind and caused (the plants) to turn yellow and to fade away, they would still have remained in disbelief
Ayah 52
Fainnaka la tusmiAAu almawta wala tusmiAAu alssumma aldduAAaa itha wallaw mudbireena
Fa'innaka Lā Tusmi`u Al-Mawtá Wa Lā Tusmi`u Aş-Şumma Ad-Du`ā'a 'Idhā Wa Llaw Mudbirīna
You cannot make the dead listen, nor the deaf hear. Thus, they, (the disbelievers), turn away on their heels
Ayah 53
Wama anta bihadi alAAumyi AAan dalalatihim in tusmiAAu illa man yuminu biayatina fahum muslimoona
Wa Mā 'Anta Bihādī Al-`Umyi `An Đalālatihim 'In Tusmi`u 'Illā Man Yu'uminu Bi'āyātinā Fahum Muslimūn
You cannot guide the straying blind. You can make no one listen except those who believe in Our revelations and are Muslims
Ayah 54
Allahu allathee khalaqakum min daAAfin thumma jaAAala min baAAdi daAAfin quwwatan thumma jaAAala min baAAdi quwwatin daAAfan washaybatan yakhluqu ma yashao wahuwa alAAaleemu alqadeeru
Allāhu Al-Ladhī Khalaqakum Min Đa`fin Thumma Ja`ala Min Ba`di Đa`fin Qūwatan Thumma Ja`ala Min Ba`di Qūwatin Đa`fāan Wa Shaybatan Yakhluqu Mā Yashā'u Wa Huwa Al-`Alīmu Al-Qadīru
It is God who has created you weak, then, given you strength after your weakness and caused you to become weak and old after being strong. He creates whatever He wants. He is All-knowing and All-powerful
Ayah 55
Wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu yuqsimu almujrimoona ma labithoo ghayra saAAatin kathalika kanoo yufakoona
Wa Yawma Taqūmu As-Sā`atu Yuqsimu Al-Mujrimūna Mā Labithū Ghayra Sā`atin Kadhālika Kānū Yu'ufakūna
On the day when the Hour of Doom comes, the criminals will swear that they have remained (in their graves) for no more than an hour. They had been inventing lies in this way
Ayah 56
Waqala allatheena ootoo alAAilma waaleemana laqad labithtum fee kitabi Allahi ila yawmi albaAAthi fahatha yawmu albaAAthi walakinnakum kuntum la taAAlamoona
Wa Qāla Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-`Ilma Wa Al-'Īmāna Laqad Labithtum Fī Kitābi Allāhi 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Ba`thi Fahadhā Yawmu Al-Ba`thi Wa Lakinnakum Kuntum Lā Ta`lamūna
Those who have received knowledge and have faith will say, "By the decree of God, you have remained for the exact period which was mentioned in the Book of God about the Day of Resurrection. This is the Day of Resurrection, but you did not know
Ayah 57
Fayawmaithin la yanfaAAu allatheena thalamoo maAAthiratuhum wala hum yustaAAtaboona
Fayawma'idhin Lā Yanfa`u Al-Ladhīna Žalamū Ma`dhiratuhum Wa Lā Hum Yusta`tabūna
The excuses of the unjust on this day will be of no avail to them and they will not be able to please God
Ayah 58
Walaqad darabna lilnnasi fee hatha alqurani min kulli mathalin walain jitahum biayatin layaqoolanna allatheena kafaroo in antum illa mubtiloona
Wa Laqad Đarabnā Lilnnāsi Fī Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Min Kulli Mathalin Wa La'in Ji'tahum Bi'āyatin Layaqūlanna Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'In 'Antum 'Illā Mubţilūna
We have told people various parables in this Quran. Even if you had shown them a miracle, the unbelievers would have said, "You are only the followers of falsehood
Ayah 59
Kathalika yatbaAAu Allahu AAala quloobi allatheena la yaAAlamoona
Kadhālika Yaţba`u Allāhu `Alá Qulūbi Al-Ladhīna Lā Ya`lamūna
Thus does God seal the hearts of those who do not know
Ayah 60
Faisbir inna waAAda Allahi haqqun wala yastakhiffannaka allatheena la yooqinoona
Fāşbir 'Inna Wa`da Allāhi Ĥaqqun Wa Lā Yastakhiffannaka Al-Ladhīna Lā Yūqinūna
Be patient. The promise of God is certainly true. Let not the faithless make you despair of the promise of God
