Surah 64

At-Taghaabun

Mutual Disillusion

سُورَةُ التَّغَابُنِ

Medinan 18 Verses

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1

Ayah 1

Yusabbihu lillahi ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi lahu almulku walahu alhamdu wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun

Yusabbiĥu Lillāhi Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Mā Fī Al-'Arđi Lahu Al-Mulku Wa Lahu Al-Ĥamdu Wa Huwa `Alá Kulli Shay'in Qadīrun

All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify God. To Him belongs the Kingdom and all praise. He has power over all things

Ayah 2

Huwa allathee khalaqakum faminkum kafirun waminkum muminun waAllahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun

Huwa Al-Ladhī Khalaqakum Faminkum Kāfirun Wa Minkum Mu'uminun Wa Allāhu Bimā Ta`malūna Başīrun

It is He who has created you all but some of you have accepted the faith and some of you have not. God is Well Aware of what you do

Ayah 3

Khalaqa alssamawati waalarda bialhaqqi wasawwarakum faahsana suwarakum wailayhi almaseeru

Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Şawwarakum Fa'aĥsana Şuwarakum Wa 'Ilayhi Al-Maşīru

He has created the heavens and the earth for a genuine purpose and has formed you in the best shape. To Him all things return

Ayah 4

YaAAlamu ma fee alssamawati waalardi wayaAAlamu ma tusirroona wama tuAAlinoona waAllahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori

Ya`lamu Mā Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Ya`lamu Mā Tusirrūna Wa Mā Tu`linūna Wa Allāhu `Alīmun Bidhāti Aş-Şudūri

He knows all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that you reveal or conceal. God knows best whatever the hearts contain

Ayah 5

Alam yatikum nabao allatheena kafaroo min qablu fathaqoo wabala amrihim walahum AAathabun aleemun

Alam Ya'tikum Naba'u Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Min Qablu Fadhāqū Wabāla 'Amrihim Wa Lahum `Adhābun 'Alīmun

Have you not received the news about the disbelievers living before you who suffered the consequences of their deeds and will suffer a painful torment

Ayah 6

Thalika biannahu kanat tateehim rusuluhum bialbayyinati faqaloo abasharun yahdoonana fakafaroo watawallaw waistaghna Allahu waAllahu ghaniyyun hameedun

Dhālika Bi'annahu Kānat Ta'tīhim Rusuluhum Bil-Bayyināti Faqālū 'Abasharun Yahdūnanā Fakafarū Wa Tawallaw Wa Astaghná Allāhu Wa Allāhu Ghanīyun Ĥamīdun

This was because their messengers came to them with clear proof (to support their prophethood) and they said, "Can mere mortals provide us with guidance?" They rejected the Messengers and turned away. God does not need the worship of anyone. He is Self-sufficient and Praiseworthy

Ayah 7

ZaAAama allatheena kafaroo an lan yubAAathoo qul bala warabbee latubAAathunna thumma latunabbaonna bima AAamiltum wathalika AAala Allahi yaseerun

Za`ama Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'An Lan Yub`athū Qul Balá Wa Rabbī Latub`athunna Thumma Latunabba'uunna Bimā `Amiltum Wa Dhalika `Alá Allāhi Yasīrun

The disbelievers have thought that they would never be resurrected (Muhammad). Say, "I swear by my Lord that you will certainly be resurrected and will be told about all that you have done." All this is certainly very easy for God

Ayah 8

Faaminoo biAllahi warasoolihi waalnnoori allathee anzalna waAllahu bima taAAmaloona khabeerun

Fa'āminū Billāhi Wa Rasūlihi Wa An-Nūri Al-Ladhī 'Anzalnā Wa Allāhu Bimā Ta`malūna Khabīrun

Thus, have faith in God, His Messenger and the Light which We have revealed. God is Well-Aware of what you do

Ayah 9

Yawma yajmaAAukum liyawmi aljamAAi thalika yawmu alttaghabuni waman yumin biAllahi wayaAAmal salihan yukaffir AAanhu sayyiatihi wayudkhilhu jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha abadan thalika alfawzu alAAatheemu

Yawma Yajma`ukum Liyawmi Al-Jam`i Dhālika Yawmu At-Taghābuni Wa Man Yu'umin Billāhi Wa Ya`mal Şāliĥāan Yukaffir `Anhu Sayyi'ātihi Wa Yudkhilhu Jannātin Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-'Anhāru Khālidīna Fīhā 'Abadāan Dhālika Al-Fawzu Al-`Ažīmu

On the day when We shall gather you all together (for the Day of Judgment), all cheating will be exposed. Those who believe in God and act righteously will receive forgiveness for their sins. They will be admitted into Paradise wherein streams flow and they will live forever. This certainly is the greatest triumph

Ayah 10

Waallatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biayatina olaika ashabu alnnari khalideena feeha wabisa almaseeru

Wa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Wa Kadhabū Bi'āyātinā 'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu An-Nāri Khālidīna Fīhā Wa Bi'sa Al-Maşīru

As for those who have disbelieved and rejected Our revelations, they will dwell forever in hell fire, a terrible fate

Ayah 11

Ma asaba min museebatin illa biithni Allahi waman yumin biAllahi yahdi qalbahu waAllahu bikulli shayin AAaleemun

Mā 'Aşāba Min Muşībatin 'Illā Bi'idhni Allāhi Wa Man Yu'umin Billāhi Yahdi Qalbahu Wa Allāhu Bikulli Shay'in `Alīmun

No one will be afflicted with any hardship without it being the will of God. The hearts of whoever believed in God will receive guidance. God has the knowledge of all things

Ayah 12

WaateeAAoo Allaha waateeAAoo alrrasoola fain tawallaytum fainnama AAala rasoolina albalaghu almubeenu

Wa 'Aţī`ū Allāha Wa 'Aţī`ū Ar-Rasūla Fa'in Tawallaytum Fa'innamā `Alá Rasūlinā Al-Balāghu Al-Mubīnu

Obey God and the Messenger, but if you turn away, know that the only duty of Our Messenger is to clearly preach

Ayah 13

Allahu la ilaha illa huwa waAAala Allahi falyatawakkali almuminoona

Allāhu Lā 'Ilāha 'Illā Huwa Wa `Alá Allāhi Falyatawakkali Al-Mu'uminūna

God is the only Lord and in Him the believers should trust

Ayah 14

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo inna min azwajikum waawladikum AAaduwwan lakum faihtharoohum wain taAAfoo watasfahoo wataghfiroo fainna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun

Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'Inna Min 'Azwājikum Wa 'Awlādikum `Adūwāan Lakum Fāĥdharūhum Wa 'In Ta`fū Wa Taşfaĥū Wa Taghfirū Fa'inna Allāha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun

Believers, some of your wives and children may prove to be your enemies so beware of them. However, if you would pardon, ignore and forgive, know that God is All-forgiving and All-merciful

Ayah 15

Innama amwalukum waawladukum fitnatun waAllahu AAindahu ajrun AAatheemun

Innamā 'Amwālukum Wa 'Awlādukum Fitnatun Wa Allāhu `Indahu 'Ajrun `Ažīmun

Your property and children are a trial for you, but the reward (which one may receive from God) is great

Ayah 16

Faittaqoo Allaha ma istataAAtum waismaAAoo waateeAAoo waanfiqoo khayran lianfusikum waman yooqa shuhha nafsihi faolaika humu almuflihoona

Fāttaqū Allāha Mā Astaţa`tum Wa Asma`ū Wa 'Aţī`ū Wa 'Anfiqū Khayrāan Li'nfusikum Wa Man Yūqa Shuĥĥa Nafsihi Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Al-Mufliĥūna

Have as much fear of God as best as you can. Listen to the Messenger, obey him, and spend for your own sake good things for the cause of God. Those who control their greed will have everlasting happiness

Ayah 17

In tuqridoo Allaha qardan hasanan yudaAAifhu lakum wayaghfir lakum waAllahu shakoorun haleemun

In Tuqriđū Allāha Qarđāan Ĥasanāan Yuđā`ifhu Lakum Wa Yaghfir Lakum Wa Allāhu Shakūrun Ĥalīmun

If you give a virtuous loan to God, He will pay back double and forgive your sins. God is the Most Appreciating and the Most Forbearing

Ayah 18

AAalimu alghaybi waalshshahadati alAAazeezu alhakeemu

Ālimu Al-Ghaybi Wa Ash-Shahādati Al-`Azīzu Al-Ĥakīmu

He knows the unseen and the seen. He is the Majestic and All-wise
